The Newburyport Chess Club is one of the longest-running and largest chess clubs in the state of Massachusetts .  The club provides a friendly-but-competitive, handicap-accessible site, easily reached from greater Boston , New Hampshire , and all the way to southern Maine . 

The club holds rated tournaments and casual play weekly. Members range from beginners to masters, providing challenges for players of all levels.  All comers are welcome.  Please view our Results page to see who has been playing our monthly tournaments.

  • Tues, July 2 -> NCC Quick Quads g/25 d/3 (3 rounds) $5 EF, $10 prize to each quad winner
  • Thurs, July 4 -> Independence Day - No Club Meeting
  • Thurs July 11 -> Church Function - No Club Meeting
  • Tues, July 16 -> NCC Blitz Championship g/5 d/0 (8DSS) $5 EF, prized based on entries
